- I am all for separate vacations between vacations together. My husband can't sit still on vacation, isnt a "beach person" and doesn't like to spend too much time with my parents, so I go to Mexico with them.

Maybe. There are certainly negative aspects, but it’s hard to make a sweeping generalization.

I am a married, fiscal conservative and social moderate working for the DoD. I'm a huge believer in personal accountabilty, having a plan and calling people on their nonsense. Pretty much, I think people should be able to live their lives as they wish, as long as they do not harm others or expect me to finance the bad choices they may make.
